Dear Winding Way Clients,
We know that there is widespread concern in our community about the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), and we want you to know that your health is our top priority at Winding Way Therapy.
With the increasing uncertainty and growing number of infected individuals around the world, we encourage you to take responsibility for yourself and your family. It is important to take a proactive approach to minimize exposure. The doctors here at Winding Way Therapy are also doing all that we can to help manage its spread and mitigate risk within our community. With this in mind, we want to share the actions we are taking to keep our patients, our doctors, and our community healthy.
We maintain our committment to helping you take proactive steps to maintain healthy. We encourage you to follow the guidelines from the CDC (Center for Disease Control) and the WHO (World Health Organization). Please refer to the CDC’s dedicated 2019-ncov website for additional information, and maintain awareness by checking the official communications from the Centers for Disease Control and World Health Organization.
As the Coronavirus pandemic and the official recommendations regarding it evolves and changes, we want to make sure you know what your options are as clients.
-
If you are exhibiting symptoms of respiratory illness, we urge you to stay home, take care of yourself, and seek medical help when appropriate.
2. If you feel you would rather stay home, making one less stop that could expose
you to contagion, we fully support you in that choice. There will be no missed
session or late cancelation fees for this.
3. Starting March 19, 2020, Dr. Strait will only be seeing patients through videoconferencing for the time being. Dr. Mundy also may be able to see you through secure, HIPAA-compliant online means, if you would like to do your session from home or office. You will need a private space with internet access and a computer, laptop or tablet. It is also possible to do this with a smartphone, but not as reliable or comfortable. Please check with your doctor about this option if you are interested.
Until otherwise notified, Dr. Mundy will also continue to see clients in office if you prefer face to face sessions. If you are attending a face to face session, please practice social distancing by waiting in your car (rather than the waiting room) until your appointment time.
Please know that this is a fluid situation, and this policy may change at any time.
We are also taking additional precautions and taking proactive steps for your protection:
-
We are disinfecting commonly touched surfaces multiple times per day
-
We request that any clients or doctors at risk of infection or experiencing illness stay home
-
We will avoid physical contact and wash our hands between clients
-
We are asking to make use of the available hand sanitizer
-
We will adhere to any directives from county officials
We will eventually be on the other side of this, but we want you to know we’ve got this covered, whatever happens. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
